Remember the Battle of Brice's Cross Roads with this Commemorative Civil War Battle Mug, coming soon, exclusively from Our World Digest.

On June 10, 1864 a major battle ensued between the Cavalry forces of Major-General Nathan Bedford Forrest and Cavalry and Infantry commanded by Brigadier-General Samuel Sturgis.  The Union outnumbered the Confederates by more than two to one.

Forrest attacked the Union flanks and poured canister into their center.  After capturing the bridge over Tishomingo Creek, Forrest's cavalry routed the enemy and drove them from the field.

Sturgis retreated to Memphis.
